Background

Dante’ is a social worker who has served in various roles and is passionate about helping individuals reach their potential. With experience working in the mental health and educational settings, he has helped individuals empower their lives through setting and achieving goals and connecting them to tangible resources. Through this experience, he has learned to find the balance between a person's perspective in the environment and the potential for change through cognitive restructuring. In addition to work roles, he is passionate about service, sports, travel, DIY projects, and personal growth. He is excited to work with students and school systems to help promote decision-making that can prioritize and optimize goals and reduce the barriers that stand in the way of them.

Why?

Dante' chose to pursue a career in social work after high school because he wanted to help people. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in social work and worked in community mental health and educational institutions from 2014 to 2026.

Social work enlarged his worldview, and he is thankful for that experience, but he often felt limited in his capacity to affect change in clients' lives. He came to understand that while understanding and empathy are part of the equation for change and help build awareness, they are not the entire equation. In order for change to truly take place, an individual has to learn new ways of thinking and behaving. A friend approached Dante' about working for CSC as an educator and filled him in on the details of the job. He also showed him the information that CSC teaches in the classroom, which was proactive and evidence-based. Dante' found it very enlightening and felt like it was the missing piece for change. For so long, he had been in the business of reacting to people's problems, but this presented an opportunity to empower students with knowledge and skills so that they could make informed decisions for themselves. The SRA content that CSC teaches is applicable not only to students, but also to teachers, parents, families, and adults in general. Dante' believes that knowledge is power. Learning best practices to protect one's body, mind, and relationships empowers students to achieve their goals and reduce barriers. That is well worth his time and effort to teach.
